See my descriptions in the other Rarebit postings for more details. The date has fallen off of this one but if anyone has the reference and can inform me, I'd appreciate it. For me as a shift worker, I can certainly sympathize with our unfortunate victim of the notorious rarebit. I think this is a standout example with some pretty surreal dream scenes and some really fun art.

About Winsor McCay

Zenas Winsor McCay was an American cartoonist and animator. He is best known for the comic strip Little Nemo (1905–14; 1924–26) and the animated film Gertie the Dinosaur (1914). For contractual reasons, he worked under the pen name Silas on the comic strip Dream of the Rarebit Fiend.
